Reverse Osmosis Systems

FilterSource is pleased to offer two Reverse Osmosis systems, designed for non-drinking water purposes. These systems are perfect for making small to medium amounts of water required for different applications, including:

  • Aquariums (prior to adding chemicals)
  • EDM makeup water
  • Laboratory
  • Equipment washdown
  • Pre-Deionization

We don't pretend to be experts at aquariums - our favorite fish are served on a platter with rice and a dry wine. But we've been building these systems for a local aquarium supply store for several years and are ready to offer them to the general public.

Minimalist RO

Minimalist RO

The Minimalist RO system is suitable when 10-20 gallons of RO quality water a week is required. The system is simple, consisting of a prefilter (combination carbon and sediment) followed by a 36 GPD TFC membrane. Collect the product water (green), and send the reject water (red) to the drain. Reject line flow restrictor helps increase the product/reject ratio, minimizing waste. A faucet diverter valve is included. Depending on the pressure, temperature and quality of your incoming water (use of potable feed is recommended), the prefilter should make 500-700 gallons of RO water before requiring replacement. The membrane should last 2-5 years depending on volume and incoming water characteristics. There are no threaded connections that might leak or crack! No tools - other than your thumbnail - required for changing filters! Directions are included.

Minimalist RO:1 RO$75.00 each
 4 ROs$260.00 (save $10/RO)
 12 ROs$660.00 (save $20/RO)

Standard RO

Standard RO

The Standard RO system is suitable for those applications requiring up to 50 gallons of RO quality water each day. The system includes a 1µ sediment prefilter, a ½µ 20,000 gallon-rated carbon prefilter (CBC), and a 36 GPD membrane, all mounted on a painted steel bracket. With an open storage tank, the system can often make more water than the membrane's rating indicates. A flow restrictor on the reject water helps increase the product/reject ratio, minimizing waste. The system should make 5000-10,000 gallons of product water before the carbon filter is exhausted; we recommend that you replace both prefilters at least annually. The Standard RO features all quick-connect fittings; there are no threaded connections that might leak or crack! A faucet diverter valve is included.

Standard RO:1 RO$109.00 each
 3 ROs$297.00 (save $10/RO)
 9 ROs$801.00 (save $20/RO)
